Assistant Buyer – Concessions >

Due to the ongoing growth of the Lipsy brand, our Buying team is expanding and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join the concessions team at Head Office.

Lipsy currently stocks over 50 brands & concessions online and due to our success in this area so far, this is an area of exciting future growth for the business. We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Buyer who has gained extensive experience within the brands and concessions arena to join the team and support this growth strategy. We are looking for someone who is already operating at Assistant Buyer level and is confident driving their own area within the team.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Under the Guidance of the buyer, be able to manage new brands & concessions that will compliment the core Lipsy product
  • Support the Buyer in developing the Trainee through their development programme, by identifying and setting measurable objectives and appraising them regularly against these goals
  • Ability to manage the day to day running of the office. Take responsibility for delegating daily tasks to Trainee(s), setting realistic deadlines and following up to ensure that agreed tasks are completed successfully and driving office progression.
  • Be commercially aware and able to identify new trends in the market. Understanding the Lipsy customer and their brand awareness
  • Confident at negotiating commission & rates for concessions
  • Assist Buying and Merchandising in deciding carry over brands, drop brands lines and move on’s from weekly sales and quarterly reviews
  • Awareness of new brands & trends. Competition & historical sales information
  • Work to a critical path to ensure newness is coming throughout the season
  • Build strong relationships with brands to ensure Lipsy secures the best collections and margin

Online Trainee Merchandisers >

We are transforming our Merchandising team at Lipsy and as a result, we are currently recruiting within our Online Merchandising Team at Head Office. What is the role?

To support and assist the Online Merchandise & Buying Team in delivering all responsibilities of the role whilst also developing the necessary skills and knowledge to develop a career within Merchandising.

Role Responsibilities:

Trainee Buyer - Multi Product >

Multi Channel Marketing Manager - Maternity Cover – 6 months to start in early May >

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our expanding Ecommerce team at Head Office. The Multi Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies in the UK and internationally with the aim of raising brand awareness, driving sales, new customer acquisition and customer retention and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the company annual marketing calendar and be accountable for all timelines / deadlines regarding marketing initiatives and strategy
  • Work closely with senior figures across multiple functions within the business to understand department activity and develop creative, on-brand, integrated marketing campaigns across all channels (Ecommerce, Retail, PR, Franchise, Licensees and International Wholesale)
  • Manage the Online Marketing strategy, involving regular planning sessions with internal teams and external suppliers to maximise online sales and achieve marketing objectives
  • Manage, via agency, PPC, developing and implementing the Search strategy to ensure the delivery of key KPI and budget objectives including Traffic, Sales, ROI and CPA targets
  • Manage, via agency, the Affiliate programme, ensuring daily optimisation of new and existing affiliates to ensure agreed ROI, performance and growth from this channel is achieved
  • Oversee the SEO strategy and implementation

Head of Ecommerce - Maternity Cover – 6 months to start in April >

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Ecommerce professional to join our expanding team at Head Office. The role holder will lead the strategic development of a fast and dynamic Ecommerce division with accountability for designing, building and delivering the Ecommerce and marketing strategy for the business.

Role Purpose:
To support & assist the Merchandise & Buying Team in developing, progressing & managing a profitable department across Retail & Online. Managing aspects of the department as required by the Merchandiser.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all Ecommerce activities and develop and implement Ecommerce strategy for the company
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure strategy is fully supported and integrated into operating plans throughout the business
  • Commercial responsibility for sales and profitability of the site
  • Manage and achieve ambitious growth targets for the site
  • Develop and execute plans to broaden the geographical reach of the brand

Online Senior Assistant Merchandiser >

Due to the ongoing growth of our exciting brand, we are expanding our Merchandising Team and as a result we are recruiting for an experienced Senior Assistant Merchandiser to join our Online Merchandising Team. The role holder will support and assist the Online Merchandise Manager in developing, progressing and managing, a profitable Online businesses and manage aspects of the department as required by the Merchandiser to deliver agreed KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating and analysing best seller, attribute and market information
  • Consider best seller, attribute and market information in conjunction with new trend and design direction
  • Present in formal Selection and Trade meetings
  • Appraise both previous season, departmental and supplier base performance to propose new objectives and strategy for future season
  • Load and accurately maintain key merchandising systems with agreed range planning parameters in advance of phase
  • Support the Merchandiser in developing direct line reports through their development programme, by identifying and setting measurable objectives and appraising them regularly against these goals
  • Take responsibility for delegating daily tasks to direct line reports, setting realistic deadlines and following up to ensure that the agreed tasks are completed successfully

  • Assist the Merchandise Manager to control spend position by managing trigger dates, reviewing open to buy and be constantly aware of critical cut dates
  • Work with the Buying Team and Merchandise Teams to review rankings to optimise online sales
  • Liaise with supplier base and / or Product Merchandisers to ensure that stock is booked into the warehouse and delivered on time to meet launch for Online exclusive products and featured styles
  • Maintain regular contact with Branded suppliers to build and maintain relationships
  • Manage any exceptions by proposing and actioning solutions such as cancellations, discounts and alternative freight modes as necessary
  • Update merchandise systems weekly by accurately re-forecasting sales in accordance with trading performance, at category level, and updated market information. Propose actions based on this, to maximise profitability considering re-buys, cancellation, stock transfers across outlets, OTB and markdown management, improving service levels
  • Maintains regular contact with supplier base to ensure that they are aware of the trading performance, their role within this and any implications as a result of reforecast
  • Analyse preview demand and rebalance commitment to protect service levels
  • Assist MM with Season Switch and implement Sale on both sites
  • Supportive role to E-commerce team, creating new categories, banners and spreads
  • To produce weekly trade and ad-hoc reports
  • Provide returns and ISNOS analysis on a weekly basis identifying areas of concern and proposing actions to improve.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 2-3 years experience as an Assistant Merchandiser
  • Online merchandising experience would be preferred, however retail experience will also be considered
  • Womenswear fashion experience is essential

Recruitment Partner - Maternity Cover – 9 months to start in May >

A fabulous opportunity has arisen within the Lipsy HR team at Head Office for a Recruitment Partner. This is such a fundamental role in the team and business and would be ideal for someone who is currently in an in-house Recruitment role looking for progression to Recruitment Partner. Candidates who are working within an agency will also be considered, however you must have gained solid experience in fashion retail recruitment, specialising in Head Office vacancies.

Creative Artworker >

We are currently recruiting for a talented Creative Artworker to join the in-house design team at Lipsy Head Office. Reporting to the Design Manager the role will primarily be to produce artwork for Lipsy product promotion on catalogue and web pages. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and have experience producing high quality artwork for online and offline environments.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Produce print-ready layouts for the Lipsy pages that appear in the Next directory
  • Produce creative layouts for online content that appears on both the Next and Lipsy website
  • Follow brand guidelines and take creative direction from the Design Manager and Senior Designers
  • Apply design styles across a range of online and offline assets
  • Provide assets to Next on a weekly basis
  • Create HTML links and upload content to the Lipsy website using a bespoke Content Management System
  • Work closely with the creative team to ensure all creative assets such as copy and images are received on time so that all deadlines are met
  • Meticulously adhere to specifications and file formats of artwork supplied to Next and used on the Lipsy website
  • Any other tasks consistent with this role, including general admin support where needed

Experience Required:

  • Relevant qualifications and a minimum of 2 years experience

Art Director >

Lipsy is an exciting, trend led fashion brand and we continually strive to offer our customers the most up to date catwalk inspired collections and a taste of the celebrity lifestyle they aspire to. Lipsy is enjoying great success and growth throughout the business and as a result, we are currently recruiting for talented Art Director to join the Creative Team at Head Office.

Lipsy is a true multi-channel retailer and we have a great online presence. Reporting to the Brand Director and Creative Manager, you will be responsible for the Art Direction of campaign shoots, web shoots and ad-hoc trend shoots. You will also be responsible for managing re-branding initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced Art Director with broad experience across high street fashion. Strong experience in Art Direction of web shoots and main campaign shoots is also essential.

You must already have an established contacts list including, photographers, stylists, make up artists, and hair stylists.

Due to this continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen our team for an International Operations Coordinator. This role will report to the International Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting the international retail operations strategy, ensuring all brand initiatives are effectively developed and implemented.

Key Responsibilities include:

    Ensure there is a consistent retail experience across all international markets through best practice, excellent front of house standards and commercial operations to maximise sales
  • Drive commercial performance through analysis of trade reports, bestsellers, stock rotation, money mapping, KPI's and delivering customer service excellence
  • Support the implementation of the trading strategy through commercial decision making
  • Manage the Operational and VM administration, including, packing slips for shipments, sourcing HTS codes, liaising with Freight Forwarders, logging PO's and raising invoices
  • Be a key point of contact for International Brand Managers
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and quality communication is delivered from head office to franchise partners and stores
  • Attend weekly conference calls alongside the International Merchandisers, agree and drive out actions
  • Collate weekly trading feedback from the franchise Brand Managers and update the team and the Head of International
  • Review weekly reports and make suggestions to improve trade, maintain and monitor the actions
  • Support and coordinate new partner inductions
  • Conduct market visits - must be able to travel internationally
  • Develop market specific operation initiatives to support market development and establish short, medium and long term objectives
  • Carry out general administrative and ad hoc international projects
  • Support with new store openings, including maintaining the critical path, ordering consumables and delivery to international markets
  • Maintain a clear and accurate marketing calendar
  • Liaise with UK marketing on all video content and supply alongside mood media
  • Support the ordering of VM materials, including mannequins, props and VM consumables and ensure that partners receive deliveries with set timeframes

This position would be ideal for an experienced Store Manager with excellent operational capability. You will need to be highly organised and efficient with a solid understanding of retail operations and how to effectively drive a store to maximise sales. You must also be highly commercial and be able to success in a fast pace, deadline driven environment.

This position would also suit a Retail Operations Assistant who is currently working in a Head Office environment. A strong background in fashion retail is essential – either Head Office or Store based.
