Head Office Careers
Online Assistant Merchandiser
ue to the continued growth and success of Lipsy online, our Ecommerce department is growing and we are currently recruiting for an Online Assistant Merchandiser to join the team at Head Office.
Reporting to the Online Merchandising Manager and working alongside another Online AM, in this role you will support the planning and trading of the internet department, producing analysis to maximise sales and minimise markdown. You will also be responsible for ensuring adequate stock availability on the site through monitoring commitment and making product ‘live’ as soon as it is received.
Reporting to the Head of Technical your main responsibilities include the following:
- Complete trade summary analysis, highlighting department performance for previous week and take necessary action
- Assist with weekly reporting using Business Objects system
- Assist with analysis for product reviews to accurately calculate quantities for internet buys
- Assist with providing quantities for specific product area based on history and working to budget set by manager
- Attend sign off meetings to select product for online and propose quantities to Merchandising Manager for Dresses per phase
- Manage and input quantities on NPS (Next Product System)
- Prepare cash OTB and margin sign off on a weekly basis
- Prepare review pack for sign off meetings
- Review Best Sellers in line flow and propose possible repeats to Merchandising Manager
- Provide returns analysis on a weekly basis
To successfully apply for this position, you must currently be operating at Assistant Merchandiser level with experience gained in Online, Retail or Branch Merchandising.
You must also have experience working with WISSI and an excellent understanding of Excel. You will be highly analytical and numerate with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and complete tasks quickly and accurately.

Garment Technologist
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Garment Technologist to join our busy Technical Department based at our Head Office in Central London.
Reporting to the Head of Technical your main responsibilities include the following:
- Regularly review and suggest updates on Technical policies and processes.
- Conduct competitor shopping reports. Responding quickly to the development opportunities and implications of emerging trends.
- Participate in product knowledge compilation and training.
- Assess fabric test reports and advise solutions on failing fabrics.
- Ensure that Lipsy goods are produced in manufacturing units which comply with Lipsy code of conduct.
- Report on supplier quality and product performance to the business and to suppliers (quantitative and qualitative). Ensuring suppliers understand the Lipsy standards and procedures and adhere to these.
To apply for this role you must have solid experience / knowledge of the Technologist role. You must have a strong understanding of fabric testing and be able to judge/approve test reports across multiple product types. You must have experience in ladies wear (Structured party dresses would be advantageous). It would be a great advantage if you have experience dealing with a varied supply base.

Creative Manager
Due to the continued growth and success of the Lipsy brand, a fantastic opportunity has arisen at head office for a Creative Manager. Reporting to the Head of E-Commerce, the Creative Manager will be responsible for managing the creative remit in its entirety at Lipsy including management of external contacts and freelance Art Directors to deliver the company’s visual brand identity.
Role Requirements:
- Development of Style Guide for web imagery, responsible for determining the best way to represent our product and brand online
- Liaise closely with Web Digital Designers and Online Marketing team to ensure that creative element is produced is on brand, approving creative aspect of homepages, newsletters, banners etc on a weekly basis.
- Directly manage the Online Shoot Coordinator and oversee freelance Art Directors to ensure that all product samples are available for web shoots and approve styling of all outfits before each shoot.
- Work with Online Shoot Coordinator and Online Marketing Manager to ensure that imagery is uploaded/refreshed on site in a timely manner such as images from web shoots, new campaign imagery etc.
- Manage photo shoot calendar inline with the business requirements, overseeing the delivery of Art Direction concept and execution of seasonal Main Brand shoots (approx 8 a year), web photo shoots and ad-hoc trend photo shoots.
- Oversee the production of video content from product videos and behind the scenes footage, managing the art directors to deliver
- Responsible for the management and delivery of page layouts in Next Directory and Lipsy catalogues
- Budget Management for web and main campaign shoots
- Ensure all legal requirements including usage forms are signed and adhered to prior to shoots
- Manage contractual agreements adhering to the required legal procedures when dealing with external contacts including freelance art directors, re-touchers and photographers
To successfully apply for this position you must have gained previous experience as a Creative Manager or experienced Art Director, ideally from within a fashion e-commerce background. You will also be experienced in managing a team and will have an established portfolio of external contacts, including art directors and photographers. You must be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively within a very fast paced and reactive environment.

Online Allocator
An exciting new vacancy has arisen within our E-Commerce team at Head Office for an Online Allocator.
In this role you will work report to the Online Merchandising Manager and work closely with the Online Assistant Merchandiser.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing Stock
- Uploading products in the Admin system for both Lipsy & Next Websites including writing product descriptions and adding attributes as well as product recommendations
- Working with Online Assistant Merchandiser to ensure that all call backs from the warehouse have been requested in a timely fashion and are available for model shoot
- Closely manage the product critical path and photography calendar
Website Maintenance
- Sorting and uploading product images to website once available from studio, including checking that correct item/colour is uploaded
- Work with Marketing to ensure copy on websites provides us with the best SEO searches as directed by marketing manager
- Continually check both Lipsy and Next websites that all products is correctly categorised and all products that have delivered stock are live on both sites.
- Manage content management system to ensure all category pages are correctly merchandised
In addition to the above responsibilities you will also support the Online Merchandiser Manager and Online Assistant Merchandiser in preparing weekly reports and carry out any ad-hoc to support the team.
To successfully apply for this position previous experience with allocation is required and you will need to be highly numerate and analytical. Excellent Excel skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment is also essential.

Merchandise Director
Lipsy is a successful multi-channel women’s fashion brand, currently operating 50 UK retail stores, 12 recently opened International Franchise Stores and an established wholesale business. A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Merchandise Director to drive the merchandising function throughout the business to maximise sales and profit through the effective planning and control of intake, product mix, stock levels, margin, discount mark down and distribution. In this role you will have direct responsibility of the Merchandising department and indirect responsibility for the merchandising representative within the Ecommerce and International Franchise teams.

Fitting Model / Administrator
We are currently recruiting for a full time Fitting Model / Administrator to work within our Technical Team at Head Office. Our Technical team are responsible for ensuring sizes are consistent and our product is produced in the right dimensions. As a Fitting Model your role will be to attend 'fit sessions' with the designers, buyers and technical team so they can make necessary amendments to the product samples. You will need to be confident and not fazed by people making amendments to the garments you are modelling.
