Studs were the talk of London Fashion Week, with the catwalks awash with riveting adornments on everything from classic biker jackets and boots to silk dresses and accessories. It's a nod to 70s punk with a forward thinking and oh-so-chic twist. Here's how to rock the look:
Waist watching - Get on trend with bad girl chic with this season's studded belts. Beverley Knight showed us how to add bite to a classic LBD at the MOBO Awards 2009 Nominations Launch at London's The May Fair Hotel. Update your look in an instant with our studded waist belt or edgy punk double buckle waist belt. Simple!

Frock rock - Combining two key style trends - shiny metallics with big, edgy studs - is one of the hottest looks this autumn. Nothing says punk princess quite like this season's studded mini dress. Pixie Lott is bang on trend in this xxl-studs mini dress. Follow her lead with our sexy, figure hugging, strapless studded dress with brass studs or play it cool in our studded dress in soft chiffon.

Clutch those studs - You can add a riveting edge to boots, dresses and jackets but if you only do one thing, you'll win style points with a gorgeous studded bag. Rachel Bilson shows how the must-have bag can add an edge to any outfit. Get your hands on our cute studded bow bag or studded eyelet clutch with hot brass rivets.

She may have had her fair share of fashion disasters in the past, but hey, we probably didn't look too hot ten years ago either. It's a whole different story now though as Dannii's Saturday night outfits have propelled her to the role of style icon - a title shared by fellow X Factor judge, 'national treasure', Cheryl Cole. Dannii's look is eclectic - she's not afraid to try new things and she's now firmly got her finger on the pulse of the latest trends.
At the judges' houses stage of the competition Dannii wowed in a floor-length vibrant contrast colour dress. Get the look with our cosmos shift dress.

She has also been spotted working the colour block trend, pairing a black bandeau top with a drape skirt in one of this season's hottest colours - wild berry. Our bow skirt bustier dress creates an almost identical look, or for a twist on the trend, pair our lace zip back top with the wild berry tux mini skirt.

Dannii even looks glam when she's doing casual. By teaming a boyfriend blazer with sparkle graphic tee and oversized bag, she pulls off effortless chic.

Star of The Hills, a showcase of LA's best-dressed twenty-somethings, Lauren Conrad knows her fashion. And you'd expect as much from a girl who has attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, held an internship at Teen Vogue and now works for fashion PR firm People's Revolution. Miss Conrad is always spot on with the latest looks and has recently been working the colour-block, sparkle and monochrome trends.
She's bang on trend with this black top and high-waisted blue skirt ensemble, which she accessorises with every LA star's arm candy, a quilted Chanel bag. Get the look with our black jersey body and blue stud pocket skirt or try a fashion shortcut - the jewelled pocket colour block dress and wear with our over-sized quilted padlock bag.

You'd have to have been living on another planet for the last few months to still be in the dark about the statement shoulder trend. Along with sequins it is THE top trend of AW09. Having emerged when top-name designers Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and D&G looked to the eighties for inspiration, statement shoulders have been adopted by such style icons as Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Blake Lively and Kate Moss.
Subtler than 80's power dressing pads, today's structured shoulders are all about creating drama with delicate detailing and futuristic designs. And best of all, the architectural silhouettes make waists look tiny by comparison!

Try our studded shoulder dress, asymmetric zip shift dress or backless glitter dress for a Lipsy take on the trend. Hit two trends in one with the sequin futuristic dress or v neck sequin dress in the style of Blake Lively. Or add drama to any outfit with this season's must have item, the military tux jacket.

Britain's golden girl can do no wrong in our eyes. We love everything she is associated with: Girls Aloud, The X Factor, her new solo single...but most of all we love her look! Cheryl truly is a style icon of our times and as well as becoming one of our favourite cover girls over the last few years, is now the new face (and hair) of L'Oreal's Elvive range. So, how does she manage to look so damn good all the time?
The key to Cheryl's look is statement pieces - bringing the basics (skinny jeans, leggings and vest tops) up-to-date with key items. Cheryl works the trophy jacket look with a Red Riding Hood-style duffle coat for the day and sequined blazer for the evening. Check out our red wool duffle coat and silver sequin jacket.

For more casual style she teams this season's trend top, a marble wash tunic, with bleached skinnies and for night-out sex-appeal brings the LBD up-to-date with a zip-front party dress and leather jacket. Try our eyelet marbled tunic and alligator futuristic dress.

We'll be watching every Saturday and Sunday night to see what Cheryl will wear next!

The soap stars glammed up last Monday night for this year's Inside Soap Awards, with many choosing to make an impression in Lipsy party dresses. It seems that the cast of Corrie have become regular visitors to our Manchester Lipsy store, which was opened by Michelle Keegan who plays Tina McIntyre in the soap. Michelle wore our stunning black, asymmetric glitter mini-dress (sold out!) to take the Sexiest Female award - a title well deserved we think!

And fellow cast-members Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) and Sacha Parkinson (best-friend Sian), who will become lesbian lovers in an upcoming storyline, dazzled in a VIP studded bodice feather dress and VIP bejewelled heart layer dress.

Hollyoaks' Dominique Jackson (Lauren Valentine) also swapped her on-screen emo attire for our floaty feminine pleated corset chiffon dress.

But it was the Eastenders' cast who really stole the show, sweeping the board with their awards. Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) won Best Actress for the fourth year running, Kara Tointon (Dawn Swan) picked up the Best Dressed gong, Best Bitch and Best Bad Boy went to schemers Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) and Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell) and John Partridge (Christian Clarke) was named Sexiest Male. 'Enders also won the coveted title of Best Soap.

Last week we were mourning the loss of summer, but excitement about the upcoming festive party season has now well and truly jettisoned those thoughts from our heads.
The stills from the Lipsy Christmas photo shoot have just pinged into our inboxes and we're so excited about the new collection we thought we'd share a few style-shoot tips with you.
Location - We split our shoot between exclusive members bar Fifty Club in Mayfair, which has its own bar, club and casino, and celebrity haunt the Jewel Bar in heart of the West End. There was a great buzz at Jewel while we were there as they were prepping to host some top London Fashion Week parties. Only the best for our Lipsy Girls!

Style - A/W09 is all about drama and statement pieces and we have plenty of party dresses to help you steal the show this festive season. Think studs, jewels, sparkle, sequins, leather and animal print - forget less is more, this season more is more! And don't forget the A/W09 must-have piece - the trophy jacket.

Hair - The 'more is more' mantra also goes for hair and make-up this season. Our hair stylist went for the 'big is beautiful' approach, saying that volume is the key look for Christmas. He created dishevelled fallen-out waves with a bit of back combing to add a sexy edge to the style. Think rock chick morning- after hair.

Make-up - For added drama, our make-up artists create sexy smoky eyes, adding false lashes for maximum effect. For extra Christmas party sparkle they applied gems around the eyes which complimented our embellished dresses perfectly.

The models loved...our new shoe collection and relaxing in Lipsy logowear at the end of the day. Oh, and the gorgeous male models of course!
