New season embellishments

In previous seasons we've seen chunky jewels adorning your favourite party dresses, but embellishment has been given a new look for autumn/winter, with beads sprinkled on to add an air of sophistication and retro glamour to evening looks.
Our best-selling style, the strapless beaded pocket dress has been updated with delicate beading in gold, silver and blue, creating a gorgeous Art Deco-inspired look. And subtle sprinkles add interest to other bandeau dresses, such as Esmee Denters' favourite, the jewelled bandeau gathered dress.
For statement style, our brand new LBDs are brought to life with stunning embellishments, adding extra sparkle to your outfit. Try the strapless embellished body con dress with metallic details, or go tribal in the beaded shift dress - the perfect pieces to see you through the party season.
And we just love the rich purple (a gorgeous new season colour) of the chiffon gathered jewelled dress, plus its embellished panels really flatter the figure. See it on the Lipsy catwalk now!

At the preview of Pixie Lott's amazing new collection yesterday, we caught up with the fashion press to ask them what they've been wearing this season and what's going to be big for autumn/winter. The Cosmo girls were loving their maxi dresses, and it sounds like the military/aviator look is going to be HUGE, with shearling, or sheepskin, the trim du jour. Check out our mini interviews with the girls below:

Definitely boyfriend blazers: I’ve got about eight and can’t get enough of them. I’ll also wear my wedges with tights when it gets colder.

Pixie Lott 'rocks it up' this autumn/winter with her second collection
for Lipsy!
Following the success of her debut fashion range for Lipsy earlier this year, we have teamed up with British pop princess and style icon Pixie Lott once again for a showstopping autumn/winter collection.
The 25 piece collection comprises of two distinct looks - Pixie Rocks and Pixie Party - inspired by
Pixie's own rock chick girly style and her favourite style icons past and present.
Pixie Rocks is all about edgy, rock-inspired style. This capsule collection has everything from
studded leather biker jackets to statement full length black jumpsuits and leather tassel skirts.
Flashes of leather and stud detailing feature across many styles and collection highlights include
an uber-glamorous Dalmatian print fur coat.
Pixie Party is the ultimate party girl wardrobe with 50s inspired prom dresses, sleek and
sophisticated evening dresses with lace detail, satin bows, layering and plunging backs. Delicate
cream, nude and dusky pink colours are contrasted by more dramatic graphic prints and classic
black styles - there is something to match every fashionista's party style!

Commenting on the new range Pixie said: "I'm having such great fun turning my style ideas into
an actual fashion range so am really excited to be launching my second collection with Lipsy.
This time I've taken inspiration from some of my favourite style icons like Bridget Bardot and
Eddy Sedwick and what I love to wear out with my friends."
Pixie's new collection is available online and in Lipsy stores from the 28th September 2010- we can't wait!

New season style: Enchantment

We know it's only July but the fashion world is always one step ahead, and the prospect of autumn doesn't seem quite so bad now we've seen the fabulous new season styles coming our way.
As championed on the catwalks, autumn/winter looks move towards a more muted colour palette to create soft, vintage-inspired pieces in floaty materials that can only be described as enchanting.
Fairytale frocks
Developing the fashion story from spring/summer, romantic maxi styles and 1950s full skirts remain key, with Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith and Ralph Lauren among the designers to showcase flowing sheer and chiffon pieces at London Fashion Week.
Wear our asymmetric frill maxi dress with must-have clogs and loose, messy hair for new season sophistication.
Lovely in lace
Valentino, Christopher Kane and D&G prove that lace also remains important in a/w, going gothic with statement black lace dresses.
"Black lace paneling and edging make for a more grown-up lingerie feel this season," say the Lipsy design team. "The mood is prim with a hint of gothic fairytale".
Try our lace bow playsuit and tiered lace drop hem top for a wearable take on the trend and look out for Pixie Lott's new lace designs in her upcoming collection.
A feminine feel
For day-to-night looks, fun and feminine details make this trend a girly girl's dream, with photographic florals, beautiful bows and romantic ruffles heading our way.
The sculpture cap sleeve dress is a real go-to number and the studded bow detail bustier and double panel bow dress combine cuteness and sophistication for a look that's truly irresistible.
Rather than statement jewels, this season we'll see more subtle embellishments, perfect for pretty, girly glamour. Beads are "sprinkled and much more pretty, clustered and delicate for a look that's set to continue through a/w", say our design experts.
Finishing touches
So, what do we need to perfect the enchantment look? Judging by new season previews, the corsage continues to reign supreme, and ballet pumps, a nude leather bag and bow-detail belt are all must-have items.

Kimberly Wyatt introduces Lipsy watches
During the shoot we also managed to grab an exclusive interview with the star herself, which you can watch here:
As we kept spotting Kimberley Wyatt out and about in Lipsy, we knew that she would be the perfect ambassador for our new range - Lipsy watches!
Our party dresses are inspired (and in Pixie Lott's case, designed) by the celebs we love, and the same goes for our growing accessories line, so welcome on board Kim!

The former Pussycat Doll brings a fresh and fun rock-chic vibe to the collection -she says that in group she was the 'punk doll' - and loves mixing and matching looks and masculine and feminine pieces, as well as taking inspiration straight from the catwalk.
In her honour our watches range is edgy, diverse and trend-led with gorgeous charm bracelets and diamante bands, cool cuffs, bright chunky pieces and a whole lot of bling to help you make a style statement whatever you're wearing.
The shoot

As Kim's used to working with stunning stage sets when performing and working as a judge on Sky1's hit show Got to Dance, we chose a fun circus theme for our watches shoot and are so pleased with the end results. We just love how she adds rock chic edge to the pretty bandeau bustier dresses with a slick of red lippy, smokey eyes and fierce hair.

Celebs turn out for Esmée Denters party

New pop sensation Esmée Denters proved that her star profile is rocketing as the celebs turned out for her VIP party at Movida last week.
To help the Dutch pop star celebrate the release of Love Dealer, collaboration with Justin Timberlake and the third single from her debut album Outta Here, we threw her a party in true VIP Lipsy style. And it was obvious from the turn-out that the singer's famous following is growing at a very healthy rate.

Since she sang on Chipmunk's top-three-single Until You Were Gone, Esmée is a name on everyone's lips, including those of fellow-singer Eliza Doolittle, up-and-coming R&B artist McLean and Hollyoaks' girls Jennifer Metcalfe and Ali Bastian, who got to know the star better in the VIP area.
Of course the girls were all dressed to impress in Lipsy, with Esmée and Ali loving the futuristic trend in the strapless metallic sweetheart dress and metallic structured body-con dress and Jen rocking the florals in the bow jersey corset - all out soon!
Esmée's set was amazing - Outta Here and Love Dealer have been on repeat in the office since the party - and we even got to chat to the party girl herself, so check out our exclusive interview on the blog and snap up her album now!

Esmee Denters talks to Lipsy

Hi Esmee, lovely to meet you and congratulations on your new single 'Love Dealer' with Justin Timberlake, it's a great summer song, we love it at Lipsy. So what was it like to be discovered by Justin Timberlake, how did it come about?
It was great! I love to play the piano and cover my favourite songs, I'd upload the covers on to Youtube and that's how Justin discovered me. He invited me to one of his concerts and that was when I first met him. It was very exciting!
What's Justin like in person?
Justin is a real humble guy, he's very down-to-earth and a brilliant artist.
You've also worked with Chipmonk, we love Chip Diddy Chip! How was that?
(Laughs) Chipmonk is cool! I found Chipmonk on Youtube and loved his music. I tweeted about him saying how I loved his music and he tweeted back saying that he liked my music, that's how the collaboration came about. It was the perfect collaboration!
Who do you admire in the music industry?
I look up to strong female artists such as Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Madonna; they have definitely influenced me in my career.
Do you have any celebrity crushes?
(Laughs) Hmm, I'd have to say Lenny Kravitz, he's sooo hot...and (laughing) probably the only man who can pull off wearing leather trousers!!
Do you have any fashion tips for Lipsy fans?
I'd say get creative and don't be afraid! I love to wear cute dresses like this Lipsy dress and my killer Gucci heels to add my own flavour. Always do your own thing and have fun with fashion.
What is it that you love about Lipsy?
I love Lipsy, the clothes are so feminine yet funky! The dresses are very beautiful, they fit great and look amazing on. I'm a girl with curves and Lipsy dresses accentuate my best bits!
How would you describe your style?
My style is fun & sassy. I like to mix casual pieces with real funky accessories, I love accessories!
Do you have any tips/advice for Lipsy fans?
Be yourself- don't be afraid to just do it and grab the opportunity. People will always hate, but my advice is to rise above it, focus on being positive, and do what you want to do!
Do you have any plans for the summer?
I'm planning to spend the summer writing new material and focusing on what to do next. I'll also be watching the World Cup final, I'm from the Netherlands who are in the final, and hopefully I'll be celebrating when they win (laughs)!

Pixie Lott on her new collection, celebrity friends & plans for the summer

Congratulations on the success of your first collection with Lipsy. Are you happy with how the collection was went?
Yes I'm really happy with the success of the first collection. I think it's amazing to see girls out & about in my clothes. I was in Hyde Park at a Stevie Wonder concert the other day and I saw a girl in my Pom Pom dress and denim waistcoat, I went over to the girl and was like 'wow, you look amazing!' The girl was shocked, it was cool!
Is it strange to see other celebrities in your clothes?
I love it, and I think it's cool to see celebrities showing support towards celebrity clothing lines.
You performed at 'T4 on the Beach' on Sunday, how do you think the performance went? And who did you enjoy seeing at the festival?
T4 on the Beach was great, the crowd were lots of fun and I always enjoy watching Dizzee Rascal. Dizzee's was my favourite performance of the day.
You gave us our very first preview of one of the new pieces from you're A/W collection at T4 on the Beach and we loved it! The playsuit was gorgeous, when can we buy our own?
I absolutely love the playsuit from my new collection. The backless detailing is so sexy and the design allows me to dance & move around easily which is important for me when I'm performing on stage, I like to be comfortable in what I'm wearing. The studded detailing adds a great rock chic edge, and I added gold necklaces to accessorise. I wear chains with everything! The new collection is available at the end of September, I can't wait!
You were recently on a UK tour with Rihanna, how was it to support Rihanna? Were you nervous and did you get any good tips?
Yeah the tour was lots of fun! Rihanna is really friendly and a lovely girl, so I wasn't nervous I was more excited. Rihanna is talented and works very hard, it's paid off for her, so that has inspired me to work harder.
Have you made any celebrity friends whilst performing at the festivals this summer?
You get friendly with most of the artists as we're in the charts together and all tend to hang out together backstage at festivals, it's cool to hangout.
Who's the most famous person in your mobile phone?
Ahhh I'm not sure, I lose my phone a lot, let me see...(Pixie gets out her Blackberry)...I've got Chipmunk, Diana Vickers, Frankie & Rochelle from The Saturdays, Daniel & Natasha Bedingfield, Joe Jonas, Tinie Temper, Louise Spence, Marvin from JLS, Jason Derulo, and Professor Green but I lose my phone a lot so I've lost some numbers!
How was it working with Jason Derulo on your new album, we love him at Lipsy HQ, what's he like?
Jason Derulooooo! He's lovely, he's such a talented guy and very professional, I learnt a lot from him.
What are your plans for the summer?
Besides festivals, I'm going back to America to work and then I'm going on a girls holiday with friends.
Do you have any holiday essentials?
My holiday essentials are definitely sunscreen, my Raybans and my new Lipsy bikini's and Lipsy beach bag.
And what's your 2010 summer anthem?
It's got to be Jason Derulo Riding Solo, 'I'm putting on my shades to cover up my eyes...'

Sneak peek of NEW Pixie Lott collection at T4 on the Beach

Pixie Lott gave fans a sneak peek of her new Lipsy collection at T4 on the Beach last weekend. Our favourite pop princess paired the black lace playsuit she's designed exclusively for Lipsy, featuring cute Eighties' bow detail, with layered necklaces and a Hawaiian garland to perform at the Weston-super-Mare festival.
Pixie sported her signature boho plaits and biker boots for a typically high-energy set, which saw her treat the crowd to hits such as Mama Do, Girls and Boys and Cry Me Out.
With Pixie's upcoming Lipsy collection available from late September, you don't have to wait long for the new looks. But if you really can't hang on, get similar star style by pairing a black lace dress with the Lipsy logo padlock necklace or bird layer necklace - now just £5 each - and Lipsy black wellies.

Glastonbury - get the celeb look
Boho-style ruled supreme at Glastonbury again this year, with celebs championing denim hotpants, waistcoats and summer scarves as the festival staples to be seen in.

Hippy chic Sienna Miller stuck to her signature style, pairing denim cut-offs with a vest top, waistcoat and tough boots. And, on the arm of her model/rock star boyfriend George Craig, Emma Watson made her mark as a new Glasto darling in distressed pocket-detail denim shorts and a classic white sleeveless shirt.

There was also a whole lot of lace on show, proving that the trend is here to stay. Pixie Geldof rocked the edgy yet romantic look in a black lace blazer, worn over vest top and shorts. Team our lace jacket with a body and hotpants for similar 80s-inspired festival style. Or take a leaf out of the gorgeous Jameela Jamil's style book with lace hot pants, a summer scarf and plenty of boho bangles.
While the on-stage Glasto costumes were as theatrical as ever - we're looking at you Florence, Paloma and Kylie - the celebs in the crowd kept it simple.
Choose from our range of denim hotpants and boho waistcoats, pack a few staple vest tops and boho accessories - we're a big fan of hippie hair accessories at the mo - and get set to celebrate like a celeb this festival season!

US superstar Kelly Rowland chats to Lipsy!

How would you describe your style?
I'd describe my style as varied. I tend dress for my mood and love to vary my style from classy to edgy. I like to mix designer with high street brands. I love the British high street and love Lipsy; everyone has such great style in the UK.
What's your most extravagant fashion purchase?
I recently purchased a pair of shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte which are amazing, however they were rather expensive!
How long does it take you to get ready for a night out?
I normally take around 2 hours to get ready for a night out.
Do you have any fashion tips for Lipsy girls?
Always be comfortable in what you are wearing otherwise it will show.
Do you have any beauty tips for Lipsy girls?
I love false eyelashes and can't leave the house without a pair these days! They've turned into my must-have essential.
Favourite hangout?
When I'm over in the UK I like to party at Movida or Chinawhites.
What are you most looking forward to most this summer?
I'm really excited to travel this summer promoting my new single, 'Commander'.
What are your summer essentials?
I never travel without sunscreen or my bible.
If you weren't a famous singer, what would you be?
A teacher.
Do you have any tips for people you want to get into music?
My tip would be to just go for it, but be aware that the industry isn't as glamourous as it seems and there's a lot of hard work involved. If you want a career in music you have to really work for it and it will pay off in the end.
Do you have a message for the Lipsy girls?
My message for the Lipsy girls is to simply have fun! I don't over-think things in life and I always pray to keep my focus in life.
