Wonderbra scoops the best supporting role...
The Hollywood A-Listers excelled themselves at the Golden Globes, shimmying down the red carpet in an amazing variety of stunning frocks. But as in the film industry, it takes a lot of work behind the scenes (or seams in this case) to create the finished product, and great dresses demand great bras. So, how to we mere mortals get the looks?
Strapless style
Christina Aguilera and Courtney Cox Arquette went for classic Hollywood glamour, in baby pink and jet black strapless maxi gowns respectively, to complement their colourings. For simple sophistication, check out our white jewelled plunge neck dress and black lace panel dress. Camilla Belle chose a more futuristic style in one of the season's hottest trends - bold abstract print. Get the look in our VIP bustle strapless dress.
Having visible bra straps with such fabulous frocks is a huge fashion no-no, so make sure you're well supported with some behind-the-seams magic. The Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless will not only give your dress great structure, it'll also create a show-stopping cleavage!

One-shoulder wonders
Hitting spring/summer's top trends, Katy Perry and Drew Barrymore dazzled in white and nude Grecian, one-shoulder creations.
This year designers have re-discovered the power of raw, pure and natural shades, with timeless Grecian styles and floaty feminine materials complementing the colours perfectly. Our one-shoulder grecian dress is a summer essential, and the chiffon harness babydoll a feminine fantasy.
And the prize for supporting role must go to...Wonderbra Multi-plunge. If you don't feel comfortable going without straps, you don't have to! Just adjust the straps to fit the shape you your dress's neckline - perfect.

Trend Alert: Romantic Fairytale
We're feeling loved up at the moment - Valentine's Day is just around the corner and we've been well and truly seduced by one of the biggest trends of spring/summer '10- fairytale romance. The perfect antidote to the sharp corners of architectural shoulders and futuristic shapes, the soft shades, sheer materials and feminine frills of this trend are bound to enchant.
Championed by such top designers as Chanel, Fendi, Chloe and Lanvin, this look is going to be big, so what should we be looking out for on the high street?
Sheer fabrics
This trend is all about sensuality and sensory indulgence, so look for pieces that feel luxurious to the touch and float and swish as you move. To retain shape, go for outfits with a fitted top and full skirt to flatter the bust, pull in at the waist to compliment a feminine figure. Try our mesh prom dress for fairytale-princess style.

Lace
Nothing says classic romance like lace - luxurious and sophisticated, this season it has to be pink or white - think 'Alice in Wonderland' chic. Perfect for mad-hatter tea parties, our lace fluted sleeve dress is fresh, flirty and feminine.

Ruffles and drapes
Forget body-con, with this trend it's a case of the more material the better. Go for drapes that pull in at the waist and bust to flatter the figure - this trend is made for hourglass shapes - or a bustier and layered skirt combo. Try our Grecian drape dress and bustier layer net skirt dress for romantic ruffles.

Tea-dresses
The must-have style of the season, the tea-dress is a wardrobe staple for spring/summer. Easy to wear - these dresses are a girly-girl's dream. Go for vintage styles, ditsy prints or larger floral graphics and wear with gladiator sandals for an edge. If you're really in love with this trend, you won't find a much more romantic style than the heart print tea dress.

Get the look: Olivia Palermo
Move over Whitney Port, stand aside Audrina Patridge, there's a new New York socialite on the scene, and we think she may just turn out to be the It girl of 2010. Olivia Palermo's effortless style and sweet feminine charm have well and truly won us over. We love her hair - messy up dos and loose waves - yes please, her smoky eyes and shimmering skin, but most of all we love her clothes!
In just one fabulous outfit she hits three of the season's top trends - pairing a metallic dress with a studded boyfriend blazer. Get the look with our eyelet corset tulip dress, now in the sale, and wear with the crinkle waterfall leather jacket for urban cool.

The model also gets it spot on with this military jacket and skinny jeans combo - love it! Our military wool jacket is now better than half price, down to £30 from £65 - bargain. Wear with wardrobe staple - logo pocket skinny jeans.
Olivia also pulls off feminine girl-about-town chic with ease, looking girly and gorgeous in floaty floral prints and layering a cute pink cardi over a black chiffon top and hotpants - just wear with leggings or tights until the spring! Floral tea-dresses are a style essential for spring and summer, and work just as well in the city as they do in the country. Check out our gather sleeve tea dress. And invest in another upcoming top trend - pastels, with the pink candy stripe belted cardigan - now just £20!

Lipsy's top trend predictions
Well, 2009 saw some tres-mazing trends - we loved boyfriend blazers, statement shoulders, jumpsuits, metallics and leather to name but a few, and fortunately these styles aren't going anywhere in 2010 - hoorah! But what can we expect from spring/summer designs? Here are just a few of our top trend predictions.
Florals: From Dior to Ralph Lauren, the spring catwalks are in bloom with pretty floral prints. Ditsy is still in, with cute tea dresses due to be big again this year, but prints will also be bolder than they have been, with abstract floral graphics making a big impact! Florals will also be appearing on trousers, harem pants and jumpsuits - are you brave enough? If you like floral try our Pleated Bodice Dress.
Lace: Taking style inspiration from top designers such as John Galliano, Chloe and Chanel, the Vogue team said in their recent issue that lace shouldn't just be reserved for evening-wear. "Wear casually around the clock. Pretty lacey tees and decorated denim up the ante or daywear", they advised. Look out for subtle details, as well as all-over pieces - lace panels add elegance to any item. If you like lace try our Net Ruffle Dress.

Abstract prints: Bold is beautiful this year, just ask Max Azria, DKNY and Carolina Herrera, who have all featured abstract prints in their 2010 s/s collections. Graphic geometric, futuristic and tropical designs will find themselves adorning dresses, skirts, top and jackets and yes, even trousers and jumpsuits for the more fashion-forward among us. If you're a fan of subtle styles, pair an abstract top with a pastel-coloured skirt or pants. If you like full-on print try our One-Shoulder Grecian dress.
Pastels: Feminine charm and girly romance are back with a vengeance in s/s collections. Peachy pinks, muted violets, mellow oranges and light blue hues will compliment floaty chiffon and soft draped materials. Go for classic sun dresses or channel Grecian goddess style for flirty feminine fun with our Grecian Drape Dress.

Spotted in Lipsy: Michelle Heaton in OK! and Alexandra Burke in More
Everyone here at Lipsy would like to say a big congratulations to Michelle Heaton on the news that she is engaged to long-term boyfriend Hugh Hanley! Michelle and Hugh started dating in summer 2008, after her split from husband Andy Scott-Lee, and they told OK! that they're planning on an August or September wedding in either New York of Hawaii - sounds fab!
Michelle looked gorgeous in the magazine shoot, going for classic romance in a number of flirty and feminine Lipsy dresses - the mesh prom dress, back detail shift dress and VIP sequin chiffon maxi dress - and keeping warm in a fur faux coat. Frolicking in the snow at the country house location, she looked every bit the smitten kitten!

Alexandra Burke's Lipsy obsession was also laid bare for all to see in this month's issue of More. Alex loves our sparkling minis and the mag picked out six pieces she has rocked over the past year. Luckily for you, many of them are now in the sale so you won't need a celeb bank balance to snap up the singer's sassy style!

Steal her style: Black Eyed Peas' Fergie
The BEP's urban songtress recently starred alongside Hollywood legends Sophia Lorena and Nicole Kidman in the blockbuster movie 'Nine', and as well as singing AND acting, proves that she can ramp up the A-List glamour with the best of them.
With legs like Fergie's, it's no wonder that she's such a big fan of minis, and by steering clear of OTT floor-sweeping frocks she manages to hit the right balance between urban bling and sassy sophistication. Choosing luxurious fabrics - fringing, sparkles and lace are bang on trend this season - she ramps up the Hollywood glamour and teams with a whole lot of bling - think matching clutches, big earrings and chunky cuffs.

Get the VIP look in our dip dye fringe dress - now reduced from £180 to £90 - and team with the crystal link cuff and chainmail bag for superstar sparkle. Or channel Fergie's diva style in our jewelled plunge neck dress.
Like the well-groomed celeb she is, Fergie keeps up appearances around the clock and smartens up day-time top trend piece marble-wash skinnies with a statement-shoulder tuxedo jacket, and a turquoise backless shift dress with a sophisticated sash and statement jewellery. And let's not forget the A-lister staples - the killer gladiator heels and aviators - Fergie wouldn't leave the house without them!

Lipsy's Big Review of the Year
Wow - what a year it's been. Not a day has passed without a juicy celeb story to get our teeth into, the fashion has been fierce; the music the best we can remember in a long while and it's been non-stop excitement at Lipsy HQ with fashion news and celeb spots nearly every week!
So, what will 2009 be remembered for? We've come up with our own list but let us know if you think we've missed anything!
Katie and Peter - the fairy-tale ends
We all knew that they had a stormy relationship but we never thought they'd actually divorce! Many were in denial about the split and the words 'publicity stunt' sprung to mind on more than one occasion, but Pete stood his ground, Katie started seeing a cross-dresser, returned to the jungle, stopped seeing the cross-dresser...and we just couldn't get enough of the story!

Russell 4 Katy
We never thought we'd see the day - serial-womanizer Russell Brand falling in love and settling down! But Katy Perry has proved his perfect match and after a whirl-wind romance the quirky twosome are now reportedly engaged - good luck to our new favourite couple!
The new princesses of pop
My god, hasn't it just been the best year for music! Loved Cheryl's debut solo single, loved her performance on The X Factor, loved her dresses - so yeah, big celeb crush on Mrs Cole this year! But it hasn't all been about the Geordie lass - 2009 has seen some very strong competition for the crown of Queen of Pop. Our favourite new pint-sized pop princess - move over Kylie - Pixie Lott burst onto the scene with fab tunes and enviable style, Alexandra Burke proved that winning the X-Factor was just the beginning with the absolutely fierce 'Bad Boys', and you couldn't go anywhere without hearing one of Lady Gaga's electro hits or marvelling at photos of her out-there futuristic style!

Twi-hard mania!
Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, New Moon offered up even more brooding looks, sparkling eyes and hot bods than the first Twilight film - major swoon! Taylor Lautner gave R-Pattz a run for his money as crush of the year - although we have to admit that we're still Team Edward - and Kristen Stewart emerged as an unexpected style icon - mixing up grunge and classic feminine styles to create an original look with an uber-cool edge.
Lily Allen = the new face of Chanel
Following in the footsteps of Jerry Hall, Diane Kruger and Milla Jovovich, our very own Brit icon Lily Allen became the new face of Chanel handbags! Karl Lagerfeld described his new muse as '"fun" and, channelling Audrey Hepburn, she proved to be the perfect choice for the campaign. What a style overhaul - we remember the days of sun-dresses, chunky trainers and chav earrings. Good on ya Lil!

The top trends
Designers looked back to the eighties for style inspiration and statement shoulders, sequins, body-con dresses, trophy jackets and jumpsuits became the must-have pieces of the year. We got a glimpse of fashions to come, with a little help from Lady Gaga, and it seems that the future looks metallic, angular and geometric! And let's not forget the rock chic trend - stud and chain details, biker jackets and skinny jeans helped add an edge to girly glamour.

Lipsy's got the X-Factor: The X-Factor finalists have always had a bit of a thing for Lipsy and this year proved no exception. Lucie Jones and Rachel Adedeji stunned audiences in Lipsy dresses during their live performances, and Lucie - who has joined Lily Cole, Agyness Deyn and Daisy Lowe on the books of Select model agency - has since popped into Lipsy HQ and the Brentcross store for some serious shopping. Everyone's favourite Essex girl, Stacey Solomon, was also spotted rehearsing and chilling out in Lipsy logo-wear during the series, as well as ramping up the glamour in our VIP feather dress for the wrap party!

Celebs love Lipsy: We don't like to name-drop - well, actually we do - but Lipsy has been a big hit with the stars this year. The likes of the Pussycat Dolls' Kimberly Wyatt, Beverly Knight and Amy Winehouse have all paid Lipsy HQ a visit. Alesha Dixon, The Saturdays and The Hills' Kristin Cavallari have been spotted rocking our party dresses and Lipsy outfits were all over the red carpet at the top soap star events of the year. Oh, and did we mention that our lace zip back top was featured in Vogue not once but twice?! A seal of approval of the highest order!
