Move Over Kate...
London Fashion Week is just around the corner and as usual the Lipsy girls will be heading to the shows in Lipsy fashion to get in on some stylish action. We can't wait to see what the next seasons trends have to offer and watch our fav designer shows live and in full swing. We'll be rubbing shoulders with celebs like Alexa Chung and Emma Watson and taking notes of the hottest looks to rock for S/S12.
It's a fashionistas dream come true to be seated at the catwalk shows in London and this season we're giving two Lipsy fans two tickets to indulge in a day of high fashion with your BFF. It's the ultimate fashion soirée!

Too Cool 4 School
Good Girl Gone Bad, Rihanna totally blew us away this weekend at V in Essex. She looked hot in her black wet look hot pants, fishnet tights and a 50's pin up denim cropped top. The celebs were out in full force with IT girl Daisy Lowe, Chloe Moretz, Jameela Jamil and Burberry boy, Douglas Booth partying in festival fashion. The girls opted for playsuits as the outfit favourite and denim shorts paired with a printed shirt for their star style alternatives.
We're all psyched for one last weekend of non-stop partying with the A-List crowd before the summers out and with September just around the corner, we've already started prepping Lipsy looks that are Too Cool 4 School. This season is all about the sixties so, bring a little Beetle-mania to your style and bag some cute mini day dresses to look the part. Designers sent models down the runways with Twiggy's famous boy/girl look for a/w11 wearing bushy eyebrows, slicked back hair and Peter Pan collars to rock this trend with a modern edge.

The Ultimate Weekender
Carnivals-a-coming and the girls at Lipsy HQ are looking forward to some Caribbean flavour this weekend. We're up for tasting some delicious West Indian food, seeing colour blocking costumes and dancing to the sounds of Soca music in the heart of Notting Hill. It goes without saying but, we absolutely have to look the part. Unlike our standard festival gear we're opting for sequins, glitter and statement hues to follow the floats in carnival tradition.
Not for the faint-hearted, Notting Hill's Caribbean festival is the time to break out the sexy wardrobe looks that usually don't see the light of day. Opt for crop tops, hot pants, low cut playsuits and bold colours to stand out from the crowd; and to highlight your look pair your outfit with chunky accessories to make a bold statement.
Reading's calling too this weekend but, for all the rockers to come to the 2011 Reading & Leeds festival. As usual our playsuits and jumpsuits are high on the agenda as our must have festival buys. With a Pixie picking at the top of our style list, we're sure to look boho chic in the keyhole back playsuit one piece.
As for the Dance crew they'll be heading to Creamfields instead this bank holiday to party to the sounds of the super cool Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta and DJ Jaguar Skills. In a recent interview Jaguar Skills told us what to expect this year at Creamfields "I wanna play a little more House music. I really like House, but due to the nature of the music, it doesn't really lend itself to my style. But other than that? I'm going IN. It's going to be a tear up for sure. And I just want to say, it's an honour to be playing Creamfields this year, I'm gonna do my best to smash it."
OMG! We're so excited! It's a big toss up here at Lipsy HQ, it's the final summer countdown and we are stretched between three of the hottest and biggest bank holiday festivals the UK has to offer. You know us Lipsy girls, we love a good party!

Lipsy set to Party Hard at V
V Festival opens in three days with rock legends Arctic Monkeys and the soulful Bruno Mars headlining on Saturday and wait for it, wait for it...good girl gone bad Rihanna on Sunday! Yes, we know - it is going to be live! Plus, DJ and Producer Mark Ronson hitting The Arena Stage, alongside The Saturdays and Chipmunk while, Jessie J and N-Dubz party in 4Music style.
We're loving it here at Lipsy and our festival spirits are running high in the office. Of course the first thing that springs to mind with such a poptastic line up is - wardrobe! With the seasons transition underway and the weather looking uncertain we've opted for classic festival gear to mark the occasion. Turn up dungaree's are a festival staple, keeping hippie chic alive paired with a classic rule Britannia style vest to show them how we rock in London.
Sunnies need to always be on the check list for your festival outfit and if two piece looks are more your style then our cropped denim shorts with a sexy heart sweat top is the way to go. We're all set for a weekend of camping and non-stop partying in Lipsy fashion and to guide us through we've downloaded the must have V Festival App to help us find our tent (if we get lost in the music), our car and even the Lipsy girls with the Facebook Friend Finder.
On another note - in Pixieville, our gorgeous pop star has announced that she is on the hunt for young heroes. Snapped in yesterdays Evening Standard with Fearne Cotton to launch the Teen Awards 2011, Pix will headline the prize giving ceremony at Wembley Arena in October. She's the ultimate IT Girl, from good deeds to high fashion; we love Pix girl power style. "I'm thrilled to be not just performing but, also getting involved in selecting this year's Teen Heroes," she said.

A/W 11 Designer Hot List
This season colour popping gets bolder, furs get psychedelic and glamour turns to the forties for inspiration. The Lipsy girls have scoured the catwalk trends and style noted our Hot List for the ultimate wardrobe upgrade from A/W 11 buys.
Style Note #1
Peek-a-boo dresses make sexy statements with bodycon cut-outs. Designers including, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton have nodded to the trend with racy looks saucy enough to make you blush! Not for the faint hearted, celeb's like sex bomb Kim Kardashian and TOWIE star Chloe Sims have cottoned on to this trend and layered with fur, you can pull off their fetishly speaking style for the season.

Accessories take a totally different approach and draw attention to the neck area making chokers and demure strands of pearls the must have jewellery buys. So, abandon your chunky selection for the season and work with delicate ladylike additions for a softer approach.

Model Business
If you haven't been watching Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model lately, then where have you been?! We love it here at Lipsy HQ, it's our Monday night Fashion Fix with supermodel Elle Macpherson heading up the judging panel supported by fashion designer Julien MacDonald, celebrity stylist Grace Woodward and (super hot) male model Charley Speed.
This week was a tough one with the famous trip to the hair salon for a makeover. Set for tears and tantrums, all in the name of beauty and sophistication, some of girls had it chopped and some not and what was supposed to be the ultimate transformation was the make or break of wannabe models in the competition.
The pressure was on and if cutting their hair wasn't challenge enough, the girls then had to pose nude for one of Elle's fav photographers Nihat Odabasi. Needless to say that went down like led balloons and resulted in Ufuoma (who we thought was a stunner) getting the axe! However, Tanya and Jessica on the other hand totally nailed it and we think they're ones to watch.
Chipmunk made a brief appearance at the model house and performed one of his songs in the bar area, love it! And while there may be a few weeks left before we know who'll be crowned BINTM we do know that the winner is in for a supermodel treat. They'll sign with major model agency Models 1, be on the cover of Company magazine (like Pixie was last month!), get a £50,000 campaign, plus win a trip to Sandals in Jamaica!
Haaa...it's a hard life being a model...the glamour, the fame...but, Elle does make it seem oh so easy. She always gets the essentials right with her red carpet appearances and though she may be famous for her edgy and sportier styles, when put to the test she knows how to flip her look to be the centre of attention at her A-List events. Make Up Trends
Autumn/Winter 2011 demands fresh faces with orange cheeks, natural lips by day and matt pouts by night. Bronze is always the ticket for fabulous looking skin but, this season the catwalks were dominated by barely there make up complexions for a less-is more approach.
We looked to some of our high fashion fav's including Calvin Klein and Donna Karan for inspiration, and the uniform throughout the shows were full bushy brows to show off a striking arch. Who would've guessed?
It's all about high-definition this season and celeb's such as Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Barbadian sensation Rihanna are doing it right on the red carpet. In line with the softer looks for a/w 11, be sure to keep it pretty and chic as you step into the era of 40's glam.
We'll need to kick those heavy-handed cosmetic habits that we've been accustomed to for the last couple of seasons and go fancy free with a lighter approach for beauty. Keep your lips matt with lipstick shades ranging from blood orange and blackberry to a girly baby pink for a sexy pout; and achieve the runway look by teaming your new face with your Lipsy party dresses for the ultimate in the season's statement style.

Lipsy's Fash Pack Party
Lipsy's Autumn/Winter 11 collection has launched with a bang. We totally upped the style stakes this season with looks straight off the catwalk set to rival designer brands.
Yesterday we hosted a press launch to mark the occasion at Atrium in Central London. The Lipsy girls and the fash pack crew were out in full force rocking their favourite Lipsy buys and were spoilt with Lipsy heart cup cakes and teriyaki salmon sticks, which were just as scrumptious as the looks themselves.
The gorgeous Pixie Lott made an appearance too and looked pap snapping ready as usual in her very own outfit from the Pixie for Lipsy A/W11 range. It's all a bit hush hush about her new collection for Lipsy so we can't divulge too much info but, what we can say is OMG!!! Move over Chanel because Pixie's looks are chicer than ever this season. "I love designing my own clothing line with Lipsy. I am so excited that this is my fourth clothing range. The new range is the best one yet," Pixie shared.
We've topped ourselves again by pinning all the must have trends for your wardrobe! From peter pan collars, 40's elegance and 60's looks Twiggy style, right through to our famous ultra glam party dresses. Expect statement pieces throughout the range including all over lace for seductive night glamour and a colour palette of deep jewel tones and pops of colour.
We're still on a high from yesterday's press party, Lipsy have totally taken the media by storm. To kick start our Happy Friday, Lorraine's Style File segment on ITV1 this morning was hosted in a fabulous Lipsy boutique, to give viewers a sneak peak of what's in store. Lipsy Hit Global
The girls at Lipsy HQ headed to GlobalGathering this weekend and we had an absolute blast! So much so, that now we're all now suffering from post festival blues. It was the ultimate weekender with the sun shining to highlight the electric atmosphere. We danced non-stop in our hot Lipsy looks, until we literally ran out of steam.
GG2011 was super cool with the likes of Carl Cox, Nero (Live), John Digweed and Boy Better Know rocking the crowds and to top off Saturday's headliners, Tinie Tempah's grand finale was off the Richter with an explosive pyro display...AMAZING!
